The Pondicherry University was founded in October 1985 by the Government of India through an Act of Parliament. Being a Central University it is fully supported by the University Grants Commission. Pondicherry University has been accredited by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council - NAAC (An Autonomous Institution of the University Grants Commission) with FOUR STAR level in 1999-2000 for a period of 5 Years.

Pondicherry University offers PG and Doctoral education through regular as well as distance learning mode in the Faculty of Arts, Science, Commerce, Engineering Technology, Fine Arts, Law, Management, and Medicine. Pondicherry University Admit cards 2019 Examinations for Undergraduate/ Postgraduate courses will begin shortly at the examination centers allotted by the Pondicherry University. Pondicherry University Integrated/ Postgraduate/ PG Diploma Admission 2019

The university offers a wide range of Integrated/ Postgraduate / PG Diploma programmes to Students who fulfill the required eligibility criteria. For admission to master degree programmes, Students must possess bachelor degree whereas, in case of Integrated courses, the student should have passed 12th (10+2) qualifying examination.

For admission to Integrated/Postgraduate/PG Diploma, an Online Entrance Examination will be organized and Students will be evaluated on the basis of marks secured. The paper will consist of 100 Multiple Choice questions to be answered within a time duration of 120 minutes. 4 marks will be allotted for every correct answer while 1 mark will be deducted for each wrong answer

Pondicherry University Ph.D. Admission 2019

Doctoral programme is offered in more than 40 disciplines including commerce, history, mathematics, bioinformatics, physics, chemistry, English, microbiology etc. The course is offered on Full-Time as well as Part-Time (External /Internal) basis to Students with the required degree and experience.

In case of admission to Ph.D. subjects (e.g. Mathematics, Microbiology etc.) offered both in the University Departments and in the affiliated institutions, Students should appear for a common entrance examination. The selection will be based on a common merit list prepared on the basis of marks scored in the entrance test.

Certain groups of students such as NET/JRF qualified Students with fellowship are exempted from examination and will be given direct admission to Ph.D. programmes. Students can register themselves for admission through the online application procedure available at the official university website. Online Exam Form of Pondicherry University

Application forms can be submitted online through the university website by following the instructions given therein. Students can apply for more than one course with a separate application fee. Application fee of INR 400 (INR 200 for SC/ST Students) can be submitted through online/ offline mode of payment.
