Bharat Ratna Dr B.R. Ambedkar University or Ambedkar University Delhi (AUD) is a public University. It provides with a campus-based and unitary structure with research programs in the social sciences and humanities. The University started functioning in August 2008. It is fully funded by the State Govt. of the NCT of Delhi. It was founded by the Govt. of the NCT of Delhi via an Act of the State Legislature in 2007. The University is named after Dr B.R. Ambedkar, the visionary Indian reformer. The University currently operates from two campuses in Delhi one at Dwarka and the other at Kashmere Gate and its third campus is also under procedure.
