About Delhi University (DU)

The University of Delhi is the premier university of the country and is known for its high standards in teaching and research and attracts eminent scholars to its faculty. It was established in 1922 as a unitary, teaching and residential university by an Act of the then Central Legislative Assembly. 

When the University took birth, only three colleges existed in Delhi. And now the University has grown into one of the largest universities in India. At present, there are 16 faculties, 86 academic departments, 77 colleges, and 5 other recognized institutes spread all over the city. 

Ever since its inception, a strong commitment to excellence in teaching and research has made the University of Delhi a role-model and path-setter for other universities in the country. Its rich academic tradition has always attracted the most talented students who later on went on to make important contributions to their society. 

Five Departments namely Chemistry, Geology, Zoology, Sociology, and History have been awarded the status of the Centres of Advanced Studies.

The Aspirants, who are pursuing any Undergraduate or Postgraduate course from the University of Delhi, are informed that the University of Delhi has released the DU Time Table 2019 for various courses. We know that a lot of Aspirants are pursuing in these courses and recently they are asking for the date sheet because they want to make their study schedule according to the timetable. University of Delhi Admission 2019

University of Delhi (DU) offers Undergraduate, Postgraduate, M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses in various discipline. The admission procedure for all the degree programs is organized separately.

The admission to most of the Undergraduate courses offered at the University is based on merit. The University invites application in online mode from prospective candidates by the end of the month of May. The beginning of application procedure for Undergraduate courses at DU coincides with the declaration of 12th (10+2) examination results by CBSE. After the application procedure is over, the university releases cut off score for separate colleges and courses. There are certain courses such as BBM, BBS etc. for which colleges affiliated with DU organize entrance exams.

The admission to Postgraduate courses at DU is both merit-based and through entrance exams. The schedule for PG admission is declared separately by the respective departments on the university website. On the other hand, admission to M.Phil. and Ph.D. courses is entirely based on the performance in an entrance test and interview organized by the respective department of Delhi University.

Online Exam Form of DU

Students seeking admission to Delhi University courses can apply online through the official registration portal by following the below mentioned steps:

• As a first time user, the Student shall navigate to the “New aspirant Sign Up” to create the user account by clicking on the “New Registration” link.
• Under the “Create New Account” page, the Student should fill in all the required details.
• The student should verify his/her email-id and Password as henceforth, it will be used for the admission purposes.
• Finally, the Student should click the “Register” button to create a new user account.
• A confirmation will be sent to the registered email account/mobile number upon creation of the registration account.
• Once registered, the aspirant should log on to the UG admission portal to complete the online registration form.
• Under the “Registered aspirant Sign In” tab, the Student shall enter “registered email-id” as username and the “password”.
• Upon logging in, the Student must complete the registration form divided among the following nine sections:
• Personal Details, Bank Details
• Academic Details
• Merit-Based Course Selection
• Entrance Based Course Selection
• Sports – In this section, the aspirant can select “Yes” for consideration of admission through Sports Quota.
• ECA – In this section, the aspirant can select “Yes” for consideration of admission through ECA Quota.
• Uploads – Passport size photograph, Signature, Class X certificate/mark sheet, Self-attested Class XII mark sheet, Self-attested certificates
• Preview – In this section, the aspirant can preview the completed application.
• Payment Section – In this section, the aspirant can proceed to the online registration payment
